Do It Fair
Fairtrade Fortnight is taking place between 22nd September and 5th October and this year’s theme is “Do It Fair”, which particularly focuses on the 100 million cups of tea that we in Britain are said to drink every day. From organising tea parties to reflections and craft activities, there are plenty of ideas and resources available to mark this event - Fairtrade Fortnight 2025.
We are also invited to campaign to ensure that our tea workers do not face poverty and unsafe working conditions, but instead can plan for their futures and protect themselves from the impacts of climate change. How appropriate that this Fairtrade Fortnight falls within the month long ecumenical Season of Creation (from 1st September to 4th October), which highlights that there can be no peace with creation (which includes our brothers and sisters around the world) without justice. Similarly, our Jubilee Year’s themes also revolve around fairness and justice. Truly an opportunity for us to stand in solidarity with our tea workers and to continue to choose Fairtrade.
